We’d like to take this opportunity to outline our policies on use of images and content as well as PR requests, sponsored posts and advertising. We also ask our readers to comply with our comments policy to ensure the How-To Home remains a happy community. Smith & Bailey will always be honest and transparent in anything we post.

We welcome comments from all our readers. We love hearing what you think about our blog and we actively encourage discussion, however we will remove any comments which do not adhere to these guidelines:

  • We ask you to avoid obscene language or language which may offend
  • We will not tolerate racist, homophobic, abusive or derogatory remarks of any kind
  • Please do not spam, place ping/track backs. (If you’d like us to look at your blog please just email/tweet us!)

Image Policy and Copyright

Smith & Bailey’s How-To Home wants to help make the blogosphere a happy place and we take copyright very seriously. We will always attribute anyone’s photos we use on our blog and where possible, link to the original content. We will also ask permission and let you know if we’ve used any of your images, so long as we can find your contact details. We also adhere to the Creative Commons licences.

We are happy for you to share our images and photos from The How-To Home but please link back to our blog and let us know at jen@howtohome.co.uk. If we find any of our photos or content on your website or blog without attribution we will ask you to add a link or remove the content immediately.

PRs, Brands and Advertisers

We are happy to hear from PRs, brands and advertisers by email if you feel you have something relevant or interesting to share with us. We are open to placing advertisements, posting sponsored posts or reviewing products so long as we feel they are of interest to our readers and where we maintain full editorial control. We will always be completely honest when we do this and will be explicit when informing our readers. Any reviews will be 100% our own opinions and we will not be paid to write positive reviews.
