Trend-Tracker: Window Seats

Window seats have always baffled me. Why perch on one, when you can lounge on a big, comfy sofa? Of course, the light benefits are a real seller. As an Austen fan, I always think that window seats are the platform for reading, cross stitch and many romantic pinings out of the window.

This was the point where I turned to Pinterest. From my research, it turns out that window seats have in fact evolved into a piece of comfy, stylish furniture that boasts fantastic storage. Not to mention they’re the perfect sunbathing spot for cats.

I love spotting a trend that’s yet to be picked up on. After having a mooch around Pinterest, I spotted that old fashioned suitcases are quietly taking the world by storm – but not for carrying clothes (of course not!) but for decorating the home.
